Mohamed EDREES (Board Member, 2024-present)

Ambassador Mohamed Edrees, Egypt, served as the Permanent Representative of Egypt to the United Nations in New York until 2021, and was formerly appointed as the Ambassador of Egypt to Ethiopia and the African Union, and as the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2015 to 2018.  He also assumed the positions of Chair of the Peacebuilding Advisory Group of the UN Secretary-General in 2022, Co-facilitator of the 7th Global Counter Terrorism Strategy (GCTS) Review, and Chair of the G77+China.
